Frequently asked questions
WHAT IS A BJD?
BJD means Ball Jointed Doll, a doll that has articulated joints which let her move, change and hold poses.
HOW ARE THESE DOLLS ARE MADE?
"MB art dolls" are cold porcelain ball-jointed dolls sculpted, painted and hand-assembled. After sculpting a prototype with clay, the pieces are cast in plaster mold with cold porcelain slip, and worked up until a smooth surface is obtained. Painted with soft pastels and costumed with hand-sewn dresses and magnetic wigs, each "MB art dolls" is a unique piece of art.
ARE THESE DOLLS FRAGILE?
The cold porcelain that I use is really strong, but due to the small dimention of the dolls some parts like fingers are fragile and dropping or hitting the dolls might damage it. Anyway dressing them up, changing wigs, playing with different poses wont' ruin them. You have to be gentle but not scared to handle them
